It was another lovely spring morning as we all met outside the Goodwood Hotel.
Caroline, Ellie, Angela, Elise and myself cycled up New Barn Lane and had a lovely free cycle down the hill towards East Dean pond. Here we turned left and headed towards Singleton
A pretty cottage in Singleton
From Singleton we headed to West Dean for our regular tea and cakes stop.
Entrance to West Dean
To work off our cake and scones we decided to cycle back towards Charlton and cycle up the fairly stiff hill towards the Trundle. We all made it despite most of us nearly being crushed by a horse trailer - I wish drivers would allow for their trailer when overtaking cyclists and not nearly crush us as they pass us by!!
We then cycled down Kennel Hill and Angela took charge and raced down the hill at great speed.....
It's a great hill to cycle down but possibly next week we should try cycling up it! We cut through Goodwood and finished back at the hotel at about 12.15pm. Approx distance was 24 miles.
Hope to see you all again soon and safe cycling!
